What is Subterrane?
Subterrane is an open-source Roguelike game that follows in the footsteps of Linley’s Dungeon Crawl. In Subterrane, your character has become trapped in a dungeon, with the ultimate goal being simply to escape! This is not as easy as it sounds, as the highly randomized dungeon is filled with all sorts of inhabitants, some helpful, most not. Along the way, you will find treasure, strange creatures, and encounter mysterious events that may help or hinder your quest. No two games will play out quite the same.
Even though Subterrane is currently in Alpha development, it is stable, playable, and largely bug-free. Subterrane does not contain spyware/adware, and is installer/Windows registery free.
Subterrane is now available for both Windows and Linux platforms. The code will probably compile from source on other platforms too.
